- which platform r u using NT / UNIX /LINUX ?
- Can I connect to the net using mydomain.com login and password? Is that possible? Or do I need my local server?
- On the features page something called HTMLscript is listed. It is a link to www.htmlscript.com which is redirected to www.miva.com. Miva does not mention HTMLscript at all anywhere. However they do have something called Miva Mia with integrated Miva Script. Is this the same thing as HTMLscript? Does your WEB server know what Miva Script is and how to handle it?

No, we are not an ISP... so, you cannot LOGIN to the net using ANY of our services.
We are a HOST only.
You must be able to LOGIN to the net, BEFORE using our services :)

Yes, MIVA used to be called HTMLScript... they just changed their name.
If you want your account to use MIVA, we have to move your accountto a server that offers this...
You will have to move all of your files, etc.
- What are the absolute Paths to Perl, Date, Sendmail, etc ?
Absolute Paths to Date, Mail, Perl, etc.(Advanced Users)
CGI scripts often require paths to common server resources. These paths are as follows:
(puts you in your web directory) (puts you in your cgi-bin)
Sendmail: /usr/lib/sendmail
Perl5.00404: /usr/bin/perl5.00404
Date: /bin/date
Java: /usr/bin/java
Python: /usr/bin/python
Absolute Domain path: /home/your_username
Absolute Cgi-bin path:
/home/your_username/yourdomain-www/cgi-bin
YOU CAN CHECK THESE BY LOGGING INTO YOUR CONTROL PANEL, AND CHOOSING FILE MANAGER
- Do you allow WILDCARDS ?
No, I am sorry.. at this time, we do not allow WILDCARDS at all. Wildcards are turned off on our system. NO EXEPTIONS.
